I’m Amber (theenglishrose2014) and I’m glad you found my blog! Welcome!
I’m married to my best friend, mom of three (27,18 &16), longtime homeschooler and domestic engineer (whatever that means!…I think it’s something like Wonder Woman!)
We have graduated two homeschoolers with one more to go! We are in the homestretch, people!
Humor is in my genes and I’m so glad it is. I love to laugh! And there’s nothing like the joy of the Lord! I’m a neatnik… love the ocean and all things nautical. I overuse smiley faces and …’s, but after a while you may adjust. 🙂
My interests are: Christian Living, Frugal Ideas, Parenting, Marriage, Organization, Homeschooling, Travel, Quilting and Reading. So, those are the topics you’ll likely see the most here.
I’ve enjoyed writing since I can remember. My elderly great aunt was my pen pal throughout my childhood. I always looked forward to receiving that letter addressed to me! What a treasure! Words intrigue me, especially the obscure ones. (weird, right?) I guess that makes me a “logophile”, a lover of words. 🙂
Beyond my fascination with written expression, God has gifted me with a passion for encouraging others in their Christian walk. I was raised in church my entire life and have been a Christian for 40 years. God has transformed my life, wrought many miracles and continues to mold and shape me into His image.
“I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.” ~ Philippians 3:12-14 The Message Bible
I’m a blogging “newbie”, so bear with me as I feel my way around the blogosphere! 🙂
